I opened up an idea that I couldn't stop thinking about, at the end of Academy Girl, when I created the restaurant on Purity Island. How would that operate? What kind of girls would work there? What would happen to them? "Island" is the result of trying to answer those questions. It is possible to read it as a standalone story, but I believe you're much better off if you have read "Academy Girl" beforehand.
